Prior to my career with Northwestern Mutual, I was part owner of an international aircraft avionics holding company. This vast experience with multiple businesses helps me to relate to business owners and prospective clients.

Personal

Liza and I have been married 37 years. We are proud to have our sons, Tyler and Stone, as an integral part of the team. Tyler is married to Natalie. Stone is married to Hayley, and they welcomed their son, Oliver, in 2022.

Tyler began his career at Hottel Capital in 2011. He is a graduate of Auburn University where he majored in Finance. As Director of Investment Management and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Tyler is responsible for investment client services including developing and implementing all investment strategies. Tyler has Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as his life insurance license. Tyler enjoys flying, and he is an instrument rated multi engine private pilot. Tyler is married to Natalie.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CFP® (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.

Stone joined Hottel Capital in 2014. He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College where he majored in History. Stone has his Life Insurance License and is Series 6 and 63 licensed. Stone is involved in all client relationships and communications. It's important for each of our team members to understand all of our clients. Stone has a passion for travel and hiking with his wife, Hayley and young son, Oliver.

Liza began her career with Northwestern Mutual in 1995. She attended Florida State University and the University of Florida where she studied Political Science. Liza is an Associate Wealth Management Advisor, and is Life, LTC, and Variable licensed with her Series 6, 63 and 7. She is involved with planning, risk management, and running the practice.

Matt, along with our associate wealth management advisors, understands the unique needs of high-net-worth individuals.

Matt began his career in 2001 and joined Hottel Capital in 2011. Matt is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has a master's degree in Sports Management. Matt is Series 7 and 66 licensed. Professional athletes are Matt's primary focus and passion. He understands the complexities professional athletes face in a career that can be short-lived. Matt lives in Orange Beach along with his wife, Rebecca, and their children: Chandler and Daigle.

Ashley attended the University of Alabama where she studied Education and Business Management. She began her career in the banking industry in 2007. In 2014, Ashley transitioned into an Associate Financial Advisor role at Northwestern Mutual, joining Hottel Capital in 2021 as an Operations and Investment Support Manager. She is Life, Series 6, and Series 63 licensed. Ashley is married to Brad, and they have 2 children: Jacob and Haley. In their free time, they enjoy attending their children’s sporting events and traveling.
